Before the first haircut

This is what I mean when I say his hair is out of control. It's out of control. This is what it looks like on a daily basis, and the hair is now reaching down to his eyes, and it's hanging over his ears, thus I scheduled his first haircut appointment.

Really trying to crawl

These are pictures of Tommy putting 100% effort into trying to crawl. He's so close, but just doesn't get all of the coordination together. He scoots, rotates, and by doing that, he does move around the room. However, he is not full-blown crawling in the right direction. But he gets an A for effort!

Tommy and Winnie

They are quickly becoming the best of friends. Tommy's eyes light up and he giggles/screams when she comes near him, and then he claps his hands. HE gets the biggest thrill out of me throwing her toys and when she brings them right back. He loves to "pet" her. He smacks her in the face, and then she sits back, looks at me, and then howls.

In these pictures, Winnie was sitting on her carpet, looking into the backyard, and Tommy had kept craning his neck trying to see what she was doing, so I moved him over to her carpet, and they shared a few precious moments together.

Haha!

"Mommy thinks this is really cute now, but she'd probably kill me if I came home with my hair like this when I'm 15!"

Slicked-back hair

Tommy's hair is absolutely out of control. Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely adorable, but out of control. This was after a bath, and I slicked it all back and combed it. He looks like a little man. He goes in for his first hair cut on July 3.

June...and it's almost over!

We made it to June, and I think there is only 3 days left of it as I type this. We are enjoying our summer, and I am really enjoying having nothing to worry about but being TOmmy's mommy. We participate in a stroller-strides exercise class two-three days a week, and we go to Gymboree once a week. We have been spending lots of time in the swimming pool and Tommy loves his new floaty thing. He floated in it for the first time and lasted over an hour and a half! He tiny little fingers and toes were all pruned and just so cute! He loves the water!

This is my favorite time of year, and we are making the most of it. He's getting so big, but I can't wait for him to really start learning things, exploring, communicating, etc. He is the biggest joy of our lives. I can't believe that a year ago, he was just thumping around in my belly, and this summer he is 9 months old, about to get his first hair cut, attempting to crawl with all of his might, saying "mommmamomammamommmmamommmma" and "dadadada." HE sings a lot and is constantly "talking." He is always smiling, and even strangers in the store always comment what a happy baby he is.

He's pure bliss....enjoy the photos!
